1. 두 종류의 위성

 

Astronomers classify satellites into two types:/

"regular" satellites and "irregular" ones.

Regular satellites have orbits /

which are nearly circular in shape /

and relatively close to the planet.

They move around the planet /

in the same direction /

as the planets move around the sun;

that is, counterclockwise /

if viewed from the planet's North Pole.

By contrast,/ irregular satellites have complex orbits/

which are comparatively distant /

from the planet.

Strangely, most irregular satellites /

orbit the planet /clockwise.

Also, the plane of the orbit is often tilted /

in relation to the plane of the planet's equator.

These irregular satellites are generally small,/

and the new satellites discovered in the last few years / have all been irregular. etz

규칙적인 위성은 궤도를 갖고 있다/

그 궤도들은 거의 모양이 원형이고/

비교적 행성에 가깝다
