1. 태양계의 내행성

 

The diagram shows / the relative sizes and positions of the four inner planets of the solar system relative / to the sun.

At first glance / we see /

that Earth and Venus are much larger than /

Mercury or Mars.

In fact, Mercury is the smallest planet of the four planets, /

being only 4,840 kilometers in diameter, /

and the nearest to the sun /

at a distance of only 58 million kilometers.

Venus is the second nearest to the sun.

At 149 million kilometers from the sun /

we find Earth, the largest of the four planets,/

having a diameter of 12,757 kilometers.

Finally, much farther away / we find Mars,/

which is about half the size of Earth /

while being less than twice as far as Earth from the sun. etz
